Review

Now this is more like it. Hot on the heels of the 2-LP issue of the Hammersmith Odeon show is the other half of Mott's live album. OK, it's been out on 2-CD for a while, but vinyl aficionados will appreciate this. Mott were at the top of their game when they toured America in 1974 and it shows. All the tracks missing from the original single-LP version (only one side of which was from Broadway) are present. All that's missing really is the full-length version of Walkin' With a Mountain, but that's really only a minor quibble. Those present at these shows still regard them as some of the best live shows they've ever seen. Still that good fifty years after the event? That takes some beating. Highly recommended.
