Boy, have we waited a while for this! It was mid-2025 when Rufus first announced this collection of Ian Hunter photos. Fans put their orders in and waited... and waited... Finally in mid-2026 copies are finally being dispatched and fans lucky enough to receive their copies are breathing a sigh of relief.

This is a comprehensive compilation of Ian Hunter-related photos from 1969 to the present day. There are band photos (both in-concert and studio), flyers, album/single/your/gig adverts and more all compiled by renowned rock photographer Ross Halfin (who knows a good photo when he sees one). As such, everything a fan could ask for.

I've spotted little overlap between this book and the earlier MTH photo book (We've Got a Great Future Behind Us), which is good although it feels strange that you need the earlier book for a rare photo of pre-Mott Ian Hunter (minus shades!).

This book is weighty - with the case it weighs in at 6.3kg (4.8kg without), which may explain why customers have been waiting so long for their orders to be fulfilled with only a few being dispatched at a time. The website still has it at "pre-order" (ie, no "buy now" link) so new customers could still wait a while for orders to be fulfilled.

Is it worth it? For the Deluxe A3 Edition yes, I think so. For the Super Deluxe Edition I'm not so sure. Do you really want to spend all that extra money just to get Johnny Depp's (and Ross Halfin's) autograph? And as for the bundle of both editions - do you really want two copies of the same book?
